About acrylic nails

Acrylic nails are the most common artificial nail extension used on the planet since they are quite durable and they stick well to the natural nails. Many women want to extend or reinforce their own nails so that they last longer and are more decorative. This is possible with acrylic nails. They are very suitable for wedding, parties, special occasions but many women wear them every day as part of their fashion routine.

Acrylic nails are created by combining a polymer powder and a liquid monomer using a brush made for acrylic nail applications. The mixture starts to harden in 30-40 seconds after application and continues to cure to final hardness typically within fifteen minutes. Acrylic nails need to be filled every 2-3 weeks depending on your natural nail growth.

You must remove acrylic nails periodically to keep your natural nails healthy. You can have this done by a nail salon or you can do it yourself. Acrylics are most safely removed by soaking them in acetone. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to remove it. Most damage from comes from improper removal.
